Arab Documentary Photography Program 10th Cycle Completes Second Workshop in Cairo
That’s a wrap on the 10th cycle of the Arab Documentary Photography Program!
Last week, the participants in the 2024 cycle of ADPP gathered in Cairo for their second of two intensive workshops, working with mentors to culminate their months-long project explorations. Alongside the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture and the Prince Claus Fund, it’s been an honor to once again share space with this incredible group of photographers as part of our joint initiative to support creative production by imagemakers in the Arab region.
The workshop was hosted at ARD Art Institution, and grantees were joined by mentors Abdo Shanan, Nadia Bseiso, Randa Shaath, and Peter van Agtmael; program coordinator Jessica Murray; Cathy Khattar from the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture; and Susan Meiselas and Sarah Perlmutter from Magnum Foundation.
Congratulations to all the grantees: Nader Bahsoun (Lebanon), Sadiq Al-Harasi (Yemen), Ali Zaraay (Egypt), Mera Elnaal (Libya), Hana Gamal (Egypt), Mosab Abushama (Sudan), and Yaqeen Yamani (Palestine).
We look forward to sharing their projects with you in the coming months. In the meantime, catch up on work from past cycles of the program at arabdocphotography.org.
